On September 13, 2010, Henry Wright's Heart held the 2nd Annual Benefit for the Quincy Lee Foundation at the Parker House in Sea Girt, New Jersey. Last year was our maiden voyage for this event and it was a phenomenal success. This year proved to be an even bigger event with ticket sales approaching close to 400! All the restaurants returned from last year - Bar Anticipation, Boathouse, Brandl, The Cabin, The Column's, Cravings, Edgar's, Fratello's, Freedman's, Green Planet Coffee, Langosta Lounge, Nicchio/Mossuto's, Parker House Raw Bar, Passione, Rella's, Smith's, and Viva's, and the local beer and wine distributors - Crown Beer, Pt. Pleasant and R & R Liquors. The Benefit offered fabulous food stations set up by the restaurants around the porch, unlimited libations, live music, and fantastic auctions items.. The success of this event filled us with hope for our mission and set us closer to our fundraising goal! We send a sincere thank you to all our supporters that participated and attended. For the past 14 years over Labor Day Weekend, neighbors, family and friends of Maureen and Bob Swigon have come together for an annual bike tour at the Jersey Shore to raise money for charity. This year the Quincy Lee Foundation was the lucky recipient of such largess. The Bike Tour revolves around stops at local establishments for libations and laughter. Their slogan has been fondly been "Another Vicious Cycle Tour Supporting Charity Beer after Beer." Over hundred people were on the tour this year, including multi-generational families whose children turned 21 and were able to participate. Tee-shirts were designed by Andy Prendimano for the event. Thank you Bikers! |
