ESIN Restaurant 2010

12/24/2010

On Christmas Eve, Esin deCarion started work at 5:00am at her awarding winning restaurant, Esin, where she and her husband Curtis are the chefs and owners. She had to get an early start to fulfill all the dessert orders that she sold at the QLF Holiday Boutique and very generously donated to the foundation. Some QLF volunteer friends helped with the preparation and had a great time working side by side with the master chef and baker! Generosity seems to run in the deCarion family. Later that day, Esin's sons, Alper and Memet raised money for the Quincy Lee Foundation by selling bookmarks and ornaments outside of their parent's restaurant. Since both Esin and Curtis were working on Christmas Eve, the boys thought it would be a good night to set up a table outside the restaurant and raise awareness about pediatric cancer. Memet even serenaded guests playing his trombone. Thank you deCarion Family!

On December 7, 2010, the Quincy Lee Foundation Holiday Boutique was held at the Lee residence in Alamo from 11-2pm and 5-8pm. Guests were able to "do good and feel good" by shopping for all their holiday needs. Over 15 vendors participated and showcased their terrific merchandise both inside and outside the house. Tables were filled with handmade upcycled and designer inspired handbags and accessories, designer jeans, hand-crafted jewelry, tabletop gifts and décor, delicious homemade treats and pasta sauces, desserts by an award winning chef, kitchen gadgets, nut and chocolate confections, and plenty of toys and stocking stuffers. In addition several raffles were held on items donated from various vendors. It was a great event for the foundation and would not have been a success without the help of all the friends of the QLF!
